Paradise by Judith McNaught
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Meredith was a rich heiress and was protected by her father when she was eighteen, but that didn't stop her from having a one-night affair with a ruggedly handsome steel mill worker. She didn't know then that night would change their lives forever. She grows up to be the president of executives and finds herself still alone but not forgetting that one night she had with the man of her dreams.
Matt is a scruffy young man who works in a steel mill and he has big plans to be rich one day and he will let nothing get in his way, especially Meredith's overbearing father. His investments pay off after eleven years, and becomes a rich and famous tycoon. He has women all over him but he still thinks about only one woman that could ignite a flame in his heart for good - Meredith.
Despite Meredith's father and some company setbacks, Matt and Meredith cross each others paths again and past grudges hold them back from the love they truly feel for each other. Matt and Meredith soon find out the truth of their grudge and decide to give love another chance, but getting there is going to be harder than ever. Could they truly find paradise or were they just a mistake that happened in the past?
I loved this book! It was a very long book, though and it took a while to get into the story. Once I got into the story I couldn't stop reading it because I was dying to see what would happen in their relationship. The story had romance and mystery and had a few twists at the end to make things interesting. Even though it was a long book, it was well worth the time reading it to get the full effect of the story!
