One Foot in The Grave - A Night Huntress Novel - by Jeaniene Frost

I love these Night Huntress Novels with a passion! Here is the summary of the book and my review:

Summary:

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rouge undead. She's still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her, but when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.

Being around him awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline kick of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head-wanted dead or half-alive- means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard she tries to keep things professional between them, she'll find that desire lasts forever....
and that Bones won't let her get away again.

How To Marry A Millionaire Vampire - Karrelyn Sparks

I found a new Vampire book series I love to read. It's called the Love At Stake series by Karrelyn Sparks. I've just read How To Marry A Millionaire Vampire, and as the quirky title suggests, it is a romance with edgy humor. Here is the summary and review of the book:

Summary:

Shanna is a dentist in the witness protection program. Roman is a successful millionaire because of his business, Romatech, in which he produces synthetic blood. One night Roman has a little accident. He fang comes out, and he needs a dentist before dawn. He goes to Shanna in hopes that she will fix the tooth. While he is in the clinic with Shanna, someone tries to kill her with people from the Russian mafia. Roman saves her and takes her to his home. Roman and Shanna quickly find out that they have more than a doctor patient relationship, but it is hard for Roman to curb his appetite, and that doesn't help Shanna because she is afraid of blood. Will they be able to stay together? Why was the mafia going after Shanna? Can Roman protect her without putting his whole coven in danger of war?

Review: This book was awesome!

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. It was very humorous and charming and I love the way Shanna brings out the good in Roman instead of thinking he's a creature from hell. Their love story is one I will remember because it made me laugh.

Eclipse Bay Series - by Jayne Ann Krentz

I have finished reading the Eclipse Bay Series by Jayne Ann Krentz tonight. The order of the series is as follows: Eclipse Bay, Dawn In Eclipse Bay, and Summer In Eclipse Bay. I breezed right through each of these books because they are the standard romance novel structure: an unlikely romance suddenly becomes a budding romance and a mystery is involved. Guy gets girl (or girl gets guy), Mystery is solved. Happily ever after. I didn't want to waste a blog giving you the summary of Dawn In Eclipse Bay and Summer In Eclipse Bay because the novels have the same structure as the first one did. These books are great books, though, and I would recommend them to those who like a good romance and a good story. Overall, I give this entire series a 3 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed reading it.
Don't worry, folks, I have not forgotten about reading my vampire novels and will be reviewing some more of them soon enough. But, hey, a girl needs her romance fill every once in a while! Thanks for keeping up with the blog, hope you continue to enjoy my book reviews!

Eclipse Bay - by Jayne Ann Krentz - Book Review

I'm now reading the Eclipse trilogy from Jayne Ann Krentz, an easy to read romance novel that has family and romantic relationships. I enjoyed reading this novel because it had love and mystery in it. Here is my summary and review:

Summary:

Hannah Harte was a prim and proper goody-two shoes, or so she was told by badboy Rafe Madison. Rafe had a less than stellar reputation and most people thought that he was up to no good. Each family feuded with the other for over three generations. One night Hannah and Rafe share some time on a beach, the same night a murder happens, and that changes their lives forever.

Eight years later Hannah owns a wedding consultant business and Rafe has made a ton of money by investing his money in stocks. When Hannah's aunt Isabel leaves her mansion to both of them it forces them to come back together and come to an agreement on the mansion. Hannah wants to buy Rafe's half of the house and turn it into an Inn. Rafe discovers that they have the same idea for the mansion, he wants to make it an Inn and restaurant. It is unheard of for a Harte and Madison to be partners, but the mansion forces them to come to an unlikely conclusion -and it gives Eclipse Bay something to talk about. Meanwhile they work on solving an eight year old murder, and the suspects are endless.

Review: Enjoyed it!

I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed the mystery most of all and of course the romance was a plus. I got a true feel for the characters and who they are. The characters are diverse and it makes a good story.

Blood Promise - Vampire Academy - Book Review

I just have to say that the Vampire Academy Series is an addictive series! I stayed up until four in the morning just to finish this book. It was slow starting, but it caught up to speed quickly and I just couldn't put it down! I am looking forward to reading Last Sacrifice, the last book of the series and starting on Bloodlines Series (a spin off of VA series that takes place at the school and the minor characters become the main characters in the new series). Here is a summary of this great book and my review:

Summary:

Dimitri, Rose's boyfriend and instructor, has come over the dark side when he is unwillingly turned into an evil vampire called Striogi. Rose remembers the promise that they made to one another: if ever turned striogi, they would rather be dead. She travels to Siberia in search for Dimitri in order to keep her promise to kill Dimitri. When she arrives there she faces a whole other set of problems involving her dangerous and lethal father. It doesn't make it any easier that Lissa, Rose's best friend is in mortal danger back home. Rose is torn between going back home and staying to keep her promise, and in the end she has to choose between her love for Lissa or her love for Dimitri.

Review: This Book Was Great!

I give this book a 5 out out of 5 stars! It was filled with mystery, action, and romance. The perfect novel!

Feast of Fools - Morganville Vampires - Book Review

This book is book four of the Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine. Here is a summary and my review for this book:

Summary:

Claire Danvers goes to college and lives in Morganville. Morganville is far from normal, though, because vampires rule the town. Claire and her friends have to be careful at night so they don't become a late night snack. Fortunately, she and her friends have protection from Amilie, a vampire and founder of the town. Claire also befriends a crazy but genius vampire, Myrnin, who is working on a cure for a vampire virus that is killing off all the vampires. When Amilie's all powerful father comes to town, all chaos breaks loose and Claire and her friends are put in mortal danger. Amilie's father, Bishop, will stop at nothing to take control of the town no matter if lives are lost or not.

Review: It was Good

I give this book a three out of five stars. Only so much can happen in a small town like Morganville, and I think I am getting a little burned out on this series. Still a good book, I just missed the romance being there.
